Congratulations to Violet Bingle!
Violet Bingle, age 10, a 5th grader at Rockport Elementary School, won our 6th annual button design contest. All of the entries this year were wonderful, but Violet’s design received more of the 805 votes collected over three weeks at the Rockport Exchange Farmers Market than any other. Violet has two brothers, four sisters, and 14 chickens. Besides art, her favorite classes are math and science, and she is interested in video games and fishing (she won last summer’s Annisquam Bluefish Tournament). Her button design was inspired by her grandfather, who is an artist. Violet received an art kit as a prize, and she and her family will receive complementary event buttons for New Year’s Eve. Thanks everyone for voting!
