Parking

There is free parking for attendees on the downtown streets. Attendees may also park at Whistlestop Mall (map and directions).

Transportation

All of the Rockport New Year’s Eve venues are located downtown and are within easy walking distance of one another. But the train station and Whistlestop Mall parking area are a little farther away. A handicap-accessible Cape Ann Transportation Authority bus will provide free transportation. It will service the core loop where the venues are located: Five Corners – Broadway – Dock Square – and Main Street back to Five Corners. It will also go out Railroad Avenue to the train station and parking area at Whistlestop Mall. The bus will make regular stops near Spiran Hall on Broadway and the Shalin Liu Performance Center on Main Street, and it can be flagged down anywhere along its route. Note that the Whistlestop Mall bus stop is at Railroad Avenue near the Rockport Brewing Company.

Rockport is on the MBTA commuter rail, allowing easy access by train from Boston and beyond. Click here for a schedule. The last train departs Rockport rather early for New Year’s Eve, so if you come by train you’ll want to spend the night with us.

Food Trucks

To supplement Rockport’s restaurants on busy New Year’s eve, three fine food trucks will be on hand from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. The Lobster Roller offers fresh lobster rolls and clam chowder. Meat and Sweet Foods offers BBQ style foods and homemade sweets. and Melt offers delicious variations of poutine and pressed sandwiches or melts.
